Company Environmental Management Plan
Coffey Construction Ltd. are aware of both current legislation and public awareness as regards environmental issues. Our main priority is to minimise environmental effects in all their forms at the project site and it's environs. This includes not only such effects as air omissions, water discharges, pollution, waste, energy consumption, recycling etc., but also in the protection of employees and the public in the use of resources and in the minimisation of other disturbances to the project environs.
Coffey Construction Limited therefore declare that:
- They will carry out all works in accordance with the Waste Management Act 1996 and all relevant Environmental Legislation.
- All work will be carried out to ensure the minimum of disruption, with work being contained within the designated working areas.
- They will create construction conditions under which normal activities can continue.
- They will protect any key landscape elements.
- They will conserve any surviving historic landscapes.
- They will protect any features of ecological and archaeological importance.
- Ameliorate the impact of intrusive features i.e. reduce visual impact of the construction activities.
- Under Section 32 of the Waste Management Act 1996, Coffey Construction Ltd. observe and comply with their duty to take all reasonable measures applicable to them to prevent the escape of waste from their control, to safely transfer all wastes to an authorised person or to a person for authorised transport purposes and to provide a written description of the waste for other persons.

Environmental Policy
In summary it is the policy of Coffey Construction Ltd. to:
- Maintain a positive and responsible approach to managing the environment.
- Always act in accordance with good practice, both during design and construction, preserving and where possible enhancing the quality of the environment.
- Establish monitoring, reporting and reviewing systems to ensure compliance with the Environmental Policy.
- Liaise and co-operate with appropriate enforcement authorities on matters affecting the environment.
- Comply with relevant legislation.
- Report and ensure the timely response to all accidents, incidents, and complaints from third parties and regulatory authorities.
